Welcome to the Chilkoot Bakery, where we believe that a bakery should be the heart of the community. Let us brighten your day with our freshly baked goods and friendly service that makes you feel right at home.
After years of searching, we found a place to call home! We began in the south, went east, and then ended up in the northwest, where we couldn’t be happier. The Chilkoot Bakery is full of history, and we are thrilled to be rising along with our 1898 starter as we head into the 2026 season!

The Chilkoot Trail, 'A Shakée' (Tlingit), 'Kwátésé' (Tagish), is a route travelled and protected by the Tlingit and Tagish people long before the first Klondike 'Sourdoughs' arrived. We recognize that operating our bakery on the Traditional Territory of the Carcross/Tagish First Nation is a privilege. We are grateful to those who have been stewards of this land for generations.
